For decades, the data and protocols shaping Somalia’s health programs have been produced and interpreted externally. While global research offers value, it cannot substitute for the precision of knowledge generated within our own context. The Mogadishu Research Institute (MRI) provides this essential domestic perspective.
As an independent center for research, MRI operates at the intersection of data analysis and public policy. We do not simply collect information; we translate it into the evidence needed to build a resilient health system. Our work is based on the principle that the most effective paths to national progress are designed by our own experts, informed by our own reality, and managed by our own people.
